The mission of Love, Peace and Joy Help Ministry, Inc. (LPJHM) is to serve families of Metropolitan Atlanta through crisis intervention, emergency support services and through family, relationship, marital, anger management and abuse counseling. The organization was founded in 2005 by Carolyn Buckle who has a passion and sense of urgency to serve those that are victims of abuse, illness and crisis. Her vision for LPJHM is to create an atmosphere of hope to include Love, Peace and Joy along with comfort and support for those in desperate need.
The organizational goal is to develop individuals spiritually through counseling in order to increase awareness of the cause and effect of individual actions, support those that are victims of abuse, illness and crisis and to foster self- worth through assisting individuals in making wiser decisions for a more fulfilling life.
LPJHM has four programs: Project Restore (The Counseling Program), the D.O.V.E. Program (Crisis Intervention Program) Winning over Cancer Program (the Support Program for Cancer Patients and Survivors) and the Emergency Support Services Program which is offered to all participants seeking emergency assistance.
Our objectives are to positively affect participants that we serve within Metropolitan Atlanta through spiritual counseling, support services and to serve a total of 3100 participants each year through counseling and support (600 in Project Restore, 1200 in the D.O.V.E. Program, 100 in the Winning Over Cancer Program and 1200 in the Emergency Support Services Program) services

God has brought me through growing up in a dysfunctional family and through being an introvert with low self-esteem which inevitably lead to other problems in my life. I lived with both parents who provided for me but I never felt their love. But now I know that they did love me even if they never said it. I made it through watching my three older brothers fight furiously from the time I could remember myself. I made it through being a teen mother and teen wife. I made it through a very tumultuous marriage which ended after almost ten years. I lived to overcome leukemia in 2005. All by the Grace of God. So, ,be encouraged to fight through your battles and never stop believing that someday it will get better and your trials will become your testimony in order to help someone else going through the same things.
Out of the pain of my past was birthed "Love, Peace and Joy Help Ministry". We want to be able to assist anyone who may be going through mental or emotional pain, anyone who may be dealing with cancer or who may have a loved one that is dealing with cancer. We also want to be able to assist those who may be struggling just to have the basic necessities of life such as food, clothing and shelter.
We have a licensed Minister and Lay Counselors for those in need of someone to talk to.
May God bless you!.

Carolyn Buckle, founder of LPJHM, was diagnosed with Leukemia in May of 2005 at which time she felt devastated. Unfortunately, she had no support system in place, not even within her family or church. However, she did have one good friend who stood with her in prayer which caused her mindset to change from despair to Winning over Cancer. She has been cancer-free now since September 2005, thanks to God and her friend. Her encounter with and victory over this crisis situation is the inspiration for providing support for others who may be going through the same situation.

Emergency Support Services Program (ESS)
Poverty is a consistent epidemic in America. Job loss increase daily as the economy slows creating fewer jobs. The need for assistance with food, clothing, housing and for utility assistance is all too common in our communities in Metro Atlanta. The ESS program was created to assist those who are in dire need of emergency assistance in those areas.
